Leave the M4 at Junction 18 (signed Bath, Stroud & A46).

Join the A46 towards Bath. Continue for 2.2 miles and turn right on Gorse Lane.

Continue on Gorse Lane for 1.5 miles until a staggered crossroads junction with the A520.

Continue straight on (turn right then immediately left) onto Freezinghill Lane.

Continue for 3 miles (passing Bath Racecourse on the right) and turn right onto Lansdown Lane (signed Wesston).

Continue down Lansdown Lane (1.2 miles) and turn left at the mini-roundabout, onto High Street.

Turn right onto Penn Hill Road (signed to Bristol) and continue until the junction with the A431.

Turn left onto the A431 (Kelston Road).

Turn sharp right onto Old Newbridge Hill.

Turn right on the A4 (Newbridge Road).

Continue to the traffic lights and turn left onto Lower Bristol Road (A36).
