Our clients
Target Winters works for a very wide range of client types, tailoring our service to meet the specific needs of each individual or practice. Those services can include compliance work for The Law Society Report; annual accounts preparation; VAT health checks; payroll; tax advice to Partners; and profit improvement for a practice. Above all, we try to make sure that your time can be spent on what you’re qualified to do – on fee-earning work. Three examples of typical clients are shown below.
Sole practitioner
We were initially approached by this solicitor when he had decided to relocate away from London and set up his own practice. His existing advisers were considerably behind with both Practice accounts and his personal tax returns. Within a matter of months, we had brought everything up to date and have, for a number of years since, provided him with a quarterly accounting and VAT service. The result is that he is now well informed about how well the business is doing, with forecast profits and the ability to plan ahead for payments on account.
Ten-partner City firm
We have been acting for a ten-partner firm in London which, over the last ten years, has been through a number of mergers and changes. We are currently helping them with advice on ongoing performance, profit improvement, accounting systems and future merger opportunities. In addition, we are also involved in advising on a proposed conversion to LLP status.
Midlands-based LLP
This long established practice has five offices across two towns and has been very forward-looking over the last few years, growing significantly in terms of both clients and fees. It provides general services with specialisms in key areas such as commercial, family, conveyancing and corporate. We gave advice on a recent conversion from Partnership to LLP, helping with the new accounts and taxation as well as rules on the constitution of the partnership before and after transfer. With the first set of LLP accounts, we offered full support with important differences in areas such as presentation, partnership rules and compliance with standards. One of biggest issues was a move away from accounts based on partners’ tax liabilities on profits for the year.
